Product FAQs
No. Zanaflex is not a narcotic drug. Many people use the word ’narcotic’ for prescribed medicine that relieves pain, but a narcotic is a drug that is used to treat moderate pain. Zanaflex is a muscle relaxer and doesn’t treat pain the same way a narcotic does.
There are some medications that should not be taken with Zanaflex such as alprazolam, lorazepam, diazepam, morphine, methadone, oxycodone, amitriptyline, nortriptyline, and protriptyline. Consumption of this medicine while taking Zanaflex may cause some side effects like drowsiness etc.
You can take Zanaflex with or without food. Maximum 3 doses should be taken in 24 hrs. You can take tizanidine 2mg(an active ingredient of Zanaflex) between 6 to 8 hrs. Do not take 36 mg of tizanidine in 24 hours. Too much consumption may cause some damage to the lever. Before taking this medicine, get proper guidance from the doctor.
